Dolphins 10 Titans 21 In Final Preseason Game

The Miami Dolphins did not play their starters for the final preseason tilt against the Tennessee Titans and it showed in the final score.

In what was the first look at the new Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, the $500 million dollar renovations were front and foremost for the night. Which includes a new canopy and new video boards.

Quarterbacks Ryan Tannehill and Marcus Mariota did not play and both coaches used this game to evaluate players trying to make the roster.

The Miami Dolphins went 2-2 for the preseason and now will get ready for the season opener on September 11th as the Dolphins open on the road against the Seattle Seahawks.

For some position battles, the RB position may have been given to Arian Foster, as RB Jay Ajayi had three carries for 13 yards and dropped a pass as well had a fumble to end his night. To me, this isn’t the numbers you want to have when you are competing for the starting RB position.

RB Daniel Thomas had a solid game for the Dolphins and showed that he will contribute to the offense going forward.  He had 10 rushes for 31 yards and a touchdown. He also caused a fumble on special teams. I hope this was enough to crack the line-up.

Cornerback Tony Lippett, who is battling Xavien Howard for the starting job had a first quarter interception to help his cause in possibly winning this position battle.

Yes, the final preseason game has come to a close and we will be bringing you all the releases and cuts the Miami Dolphins will have to make in following week.
