Good enough to destroy in their preseason game against the New York Giants (after the first team struggled) but is it enough to face off the Seattle Seahawks in the regular season? As it turns out he is feeling pretty comfortable.
That is great news because as we all know our QB is what the sets the mood for the team and if he is feeling comfortable it is a chance that the rest of the team is feeling good too. We can quickly look at Tannehill’s numbers because this summer has been quite profitable for him.
For three exhibition games Tannehill has completed 78.7 percent of his passes for 317 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. In an interview with ESPN, Tannehill had this to say about his comfort level, “I feel comfortable,” Tannehill said. “I feel in charge of our offense now, in command of what we're doing out there. I feel like I have a good handle on what we're trying to accomplish and what we're doing. It's fun. It's fun to get out there and get up to the line, get our guys in the right spots and keep the pressure on the defense.”
In the past there was some distance between Tannehill and the rest of the Dolphins but it seems under Gase’s instruction he has formed better relationships and their teamwork and ethics have increased exponentially. He has started this new offence very well and all the practicing that both he and the team have been doing will hopefully pay on Sunday.
That is my big hope. Tannehill will be ready for week 1, but the jury is still out on whether or not the rest of the team will.
