Miami Dolphins Add LB Donald Butler

In order to boost their LB corps, the Miami Dolphins have signed veteran Donald Butler.

Former San Diego Chargers LB Donald Butler is headed to the Miami Dolphins, according to Bleacher Report, who first released the story, after source Armando Salguero released the news.

Butler spent the first of his years in San Diego as a starter, but came off the bench in his fifth season after a drop in production at the position. He will join Jelani JenkinsKiko Alonso and Koa Misi as Miami's primary linebackers, a group that includes Neville Hewitt and Mike Hull as well.

Butler is 27 years old, and does have 62 starts, 7 sacks, and three interceptions throughout his career. Expect Butler to start with a limited role that could be increased throughout the season if Misi, Alonso or Jenkins get hurt or fail to perform.
