Miami Dolphins Embarrassed Thursday Night

This is usually my weekly game recap of the Miami Dolphins, usually, I tell you the stats of the game, what happened in the game, what Miami needs to work on, and what I think needs improvement. Not This week!

First off, I have to say that I like Ryan Tannehill as a QB. He has shown good decision-making at the line of scrimmage and has a really strong arm. However, his pocket awareness is terrible and he just doesn't have "it." I just feel that if Miami wants to improve and wants to contend, they need to go to someone else and try to spark this offense. Miami barely had any first downs throughout the whole game.  RB Jay Ajayi who was the main back throughout the game was a workhorse and did well replacing the injured Arian Foster.  WR Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills were running great routes and making catches but the Bengals defense found a way to shut them down, except for a blown coverage to start the game which gave Miami their only touchdown for the game.

When watching the game last night, all I heard for the commentators were “if an opponent has done their homework they know that Miami CAN NOT stop the run.”  This was a continuing comment throughout the whole game. You know what? It’s true. This needs to be addressed now and fixed now, sorry I spoke to early…. this has been a problem for the Dolphins for the last three years. When and how will this be fixed? I don’t have the answers, draft, trade, bench the players who are responsibility it is to stop the run?

As a loyal Fins fan for the past 32 years, I am at my wits end watching the Dolphins make the same mistakes week in and week out. Last night’s game was an embarrassment to watch and it is very hard to come up with anything positive to write about.

Come on boy’s come together as a team and figure this out. The season is still so early but improvement needs to happen next Sunday, not three months from now.

Next up for the Dolphins is a match-up at home with the Tennessee Titans.

Fins Up!
