Dolphins Look to Further Streak Vs. Jets

Can the Dolphins top the New York Jets and win three in a row?

After coming off of their bye week, the Miami Dolphins look to continue their momentum they had before the bye week, behind running back Jay Ajayi's consecutive 200 yard games. They prepare to take on fellow AFC East rival New York Jets this Sunday at 1 EDT. My prediction for this game is that the Dolphins continue on a hot streak and get the win 27-17, after coming off a much needed bye week.

But what needs to happen to get that win?

If the Dolphins want to get the win here they’ll need their defense to get to Ryan Fitzpatrick early and often in order to give the emerging Jay Ajayi a short field to work with.

Due to the recent bye week the Dolphins have a relatively short injury list as of Wednesday. On the defense side of the ball, cornerback Xavien Howard (knee) did not practice, and Safety Isa Abdul-Quddus (ankle) limited practice, were the only two defensive players listed on the injury report this week.

As for special teams it looks to be the same 1-2 punch of Jakeem Grant and Jarvis Landry. A small note for Dolphins kicker Andrew Franks he’s currently 15/15 on extra points this year and 9/12 on field goals, so at least the Dolphins have been consistent where other teams seem to have struggled this year.

After pulling together two straight wins the Dolphins might finally hit .500 for the first time this year, as they look to take down the rival Jets. The hope for Dolphins fans grows, as the Dolphins seem to have found new life while getting ready for the all-important grind in the second half of the season.
