Moore had a field day with the New York Jets’ defense. He connected with TE Dion Sims for two 1-yard touchdowns, WR Kenny Stills for a 52-yard touchdown and then connected with WR Jarvis Landry for a 61-yard TD. Matt Moore went 12 for 18 for 236 yards in helping Miami capture their first winning season since 2008.
Everything was clicking in all aspects for the Dolphins, the offense was on fire, and on special-teams the Dolphins had an 11-yard blocked punt return touchdown by CB Walt Aiken.
Even Head Coach Adam Gase got into the winning mood when he challenged two calls one which secured a TD for Sims’ and another which overturned a bad spot by the refs. 2-0 in challenging plays for the game, not too bad Coach.
The Defense picked up their game and blitzed the Jets offense on almost every play. The hit of the game was when DT Ndamukong Suh and LB Cameron Wake were left completely untouched and squashed Jets’ quarterback Bryce Petty, which knocked him out of the game. Congrats to Cameron Wake for getting his first career interception ( I literally jump off the couch when I saw this ).
This was an exciting game to watch and Miami Dolphins were so active and explosive in every aspect of this game. Keep it up boys. It was an awesome game on both sides of the ball.
With this game, the Miami Dolphins have improved their chances at a wild game playoff berth. I see their chances improving with the help of the New England Patriots as the Patriots look to capture the AFC East division and helping the Dolphins get into the playoffs by defeating the Denver Broncos. With Saturday’s win, the Dolphins have jumped ahead of the Broncos for the final wild card spot.
Next up for the Miami Dolphins is an away game against the Buffalo Bills. Cannot wait for the Dolphins to capture that playoff spot.
