I like what Taco can do on the outside, and I think the two best LBers Haason Reddick and Reuben Foster will be gone by 22nd overall. The Miami Dolphins go with Charlton, a young DE they can groom behind Cameron Wake and a much needed impact player on defense.
Richard Adams, Deputy Editor: Taco Charlton, DE, Michigan Wolverines
With Cameron Wake getting older and no clear star behind him, the Dolphins pair youth with the wisdom of Wake. Charlton sets the edge well, and has the moves to get to opposing QB's. He can come in and learn behind two veterans in Wake and Andre Branch, and benefit immediately from the interior play of Ndamukong Suh. This is a no-brainer for Miami at 22.
The Dolphins decide to pull the trigger on Cunningham, a rangy, speedy LB that can also cover in the passing game. Cunningham also provides the ability to rush the passer. He may seem a little raw and has been coveted as a 2nd rounder, but I think he brings enough to the plate for the Dolphins to take him in the first.
Lamp fills a need at Guard for the Dolphins, and is the tough and gritty player that fits the team's new identity. If the Dolphins don't go Lamp, they will take a safety or DE.
