It wasn't a great experience for Rogers, who questioned the Bills' commitment to special teams after having the worst season of his four-year career.
The Bills didn't make re-signing Rogers a priority in the offseason, so he signed with the Dolphins.
Rogers showed some explosiveness in the preseason, but in the first two regular season games he has no punt return longer than 4 yards and no kickoff return longer than 33 yards.
Make no mistake, though, Rogers is very much looking forward to facing the Bills and making them pay for not re-signing him.
"I've got a lot of friends on that team," Rogers said. "This is my first chance to play against a former team. It's going to be a big reunion.
"I definitely want them to think we should have paid this guy. But they're also 2-0 and playing as well as anybody in the league. That's extra motivation."
The Dolphins certainly could use a big kick return from Rogers in this game because it's likely they'll need every yard against one of the hottest teams in the league.
