McKINNEY'S THE MAN

The Dolphins will be healthier for Sunday's game against Baltimore than they were last weekend at Tennessee, but center Tim Ruddy remains question mark.

Ruddy did not work in practice again on Thursday, and Coach Dave Wannstedt announced that Seth McKinney would get the start against the Ravens.

The Dolphins are still hoping Ruddy can play, but if he does, he will be on a limited basis.

As for quarterback Jay Fiedler, he only did limited work on Thursday and it's looking like he'll once again have to be the emergency quarterback.

Zach Thomas and Patrick Surtain practiced again on Thursday and they appear ready to go against Baltimore.

-- Wannstedt said Derrius Thompson and Kendall Newson split time at wide receiver in practice Thursday, and that's the way he plans on using those two guys on Sunday.

You can look at this one of two ways: Wannstedt isn't happy with Thompson or the coaching staff is excited about what Newson can do.

We're thinking it's more of the first and less of the second.
