With the Dolphins having a roster spot to fill, with a second shortly to follow, the team gave tryouts to seven players on Wednesday.
Among the four defensive ends and cornerbacks working out was former Dolphins defensive back Jerry Wilson.

Wilson has been out of football this season after playing last year with the Dolphins. He has the advantage of knowing the Dolphins' system and also being able to contribute.

The other two cornerbacks getting workouts were Donny Brady, who played collegiately at Wisconsin, and former San Diego Chargers starter Fahkir Brown.

The list of defensive ends working out included former Green Bay Packer David Bowens, former San Francisco 49er Jeff Posey, former Chicago Bear Al Wallace and former University of Miami standout Derrick Ham.

The Dolphins currently have 52 players on the roster after defensive tackle Damian Gregory was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list.

The number will go down to 51 shortly, with defensive back Trent Gamble scheduled to undergo season-ending surgery on his left shoulder.

With the Dolphins have a bye this weekend, there is no urgency to sign a player.
