The Dolphins had problems with their long-snapping after Ed Perry went down with a knee injury last preseason, so they made sure to not go through that again when they re-signed Perry as an unrestricted free agent.

Perry was re-signed to a one-year deal on the same day the Dolphins officially announced the signing of punter Matt Turk, another unrestricted free agent to a three-year contract.

Perry and Turk bring to four the number of unrestricted free agents the Dolphins have re-signed this offseason, following safeties Shawn Wooden and Arturo Freeman, who actually was re-signed before the free agent period began.

Meanwhile, guard Cosey Coleman, who visited the Dolphins a couple of weeks ago, re-signed with Tampa Bay. Guard Bobbie Williams, another free agent guard who visited the Dolphins, is expected to sign somewhere this week but not with Miami.

GM Rick Spielman said last week there weren't any guards out there at the moment that really interested the Dolphins that much.
