The Dolphins selected their second offensive lineman in this year's draft when they picked University of Houston guard/center Rex Hadnot after making a trade with the Atlanta Falcons. To move up 12 spots in the sixth round, the Dolphins gave up one of their three seventh-round picks, the 219th overall.

Hadnot played guard at Houston for three years before switching to center last season. He was selected second-team All-Conference USA in 2002 before earning first-team conference honors last year.

The book on Hadnot, who stands 6-2, 317 pounds, is that he's smart and tenacious but is somewhat limited athletically.

If he can make the team, Hadnot could provide depth at center behind projected starter Seth McKinney.
