The Dolphins finally had a rain-free day of practice on Wednesday and they held one workout before heading to Houston for two days of practices with the Texans. Here is the latest news surrounding the team.

-- Charges will not be filed against tight end Randy McMichael in the aftermath of his domestic incident with his pregnant wife.

-- Former Dolphins Nat Moore and Don McNeal visited practice on Wednesday.

-- Running back Leonard Henry continues to sit out because of a quadriceps injury.

Among others who are sitting out: CB Patrick Surtain (groin), CB Sam Madison (ankle), G Eric Wilson (knee) and S Shawn Wooden (back). Wooden is still waiting to find out whether he will need to have season-ending surgery.

-- Running back Sammy Morris stayed down after a play in practice on Wednesday, but Coach Dave Wannstedt said he just got the wind knocked out of him.

Wannstedt commented on the quarterback situation on Wednesday, saying: "We're not making it a day-to-day story as far as who's up and who's down. They're both making progress."

-- Wide receiver Marvin Minnis was excused from practice on Wednesday because of personal reasons, but Wannstedt said he would be with the team in Houston.

-- Veteran DE Kenny Holmes was given a workout on Wednesday.
