Tuesday notes

The weather once again played havoc with the Dolphins' practice plans Tuesday, with the team having to cut short its afternoon workout because of lightning close to the team's training facility.

This has been a regular occurrence throughout this training camp, as bad weather has forced the Dolphins to delay or cancel practice on a few occasions.

Coach Dave Wannstedt was so frustrated by the practice having to be cut short that he declined to talk to reporters afterward.

In other news:

-- The Dolphins made another roster move, claiming wide receiver Bryan Gilmore off waivers from the Arizona Cardinals and waiving wide receiver Willie Johnson.

Gilmore has spent the last four seasons with Arizona after joining the team as an undrafted rookie in 2001. He has appeared in 25 games with 10 starts, and his best season came last year when he had 17 catches for 208 yards and two touchdowns.

-- New wide receiver Marty Booker practiced with the Dolphins for the first time, although the lightning prevented him from getting important work in seven-on-seven drills.
