The Dolphins once again adjusted their roster on Tuesday, promoting linebacker Renauld Williams from the practice squad. Williams' move up was a response that the hamstring injury that is likely to keep Zach Thomas out of the lineup for Sunday's game at San Francisco and possibly longer.
To make room for Williams, the Dolphins waived defensive end Melvin Williams, who had been claimed off waivers from San Francisco just last week.
Taking Renauld Williams' place on the practice squad is defensive end Ronald Flemons, who continues his roller-coaster season.
Since Sept. 5, Flemons has been: waived; signed to the practice squad; signed to the active roster; waived; signed to the practice squad again; signed to the active roster again; waived again; signed to the practice squad again.
