Wide receiver Chris Chambers again missed practice on Thursday as he continues to nurse a bad ankle, but that doesn't mean he won't play Sunday in the playoff game against Baltimore.
That's because different rules apply when it comes to the playoffs.

"In a playoff game like this, to be quite honest with you, if he can play, I would hope he would do something (this week)," said Coach Dave Wannstedt. "But if he couldn't do anything until Sunday and he can play Sunday, we'd play him Sunday. At this point in the season, you're just going to do whatever you can do to get your guys out there."

Chambers was injured in the 34-7 victory over Buffalo when a defensive player landed on him at the end of a 36-yard reception late in the first quarter.

Chambers sat out the rest of the game, although Wannstedt said afterward that Chambers was telling the coach he would have been able to get back in the game.

The Dolphins sent an intern from the training staff home with Chambers earlier this week, and the rookie wideout has been getting treatment on the ankle all week.

It's pretty obvious by now that the Dolphins clearly need Chambers against the Ravens.

The good news out of Dolphins camp on Thursday is that Chambers was the only player who didn't practice, and word is that Zach Thomas is pretty close to full speed, if he's not already there.
