Dolphins re-sign Minor

The Dolphins announced the re-signing of unrestricted free agent running back Travis Minor today.

Minor, 25, signed a one-year deal to remain with the team that drafted him in the third round of the 2001 draft.

Minor was primarily used as a backup to Ricky Williams in Miami, but he had his opportunity to start last season after Williams' departure from the team. Unfortunately, he battled injuries most of the year and only started four games. Even so, he still finished second on the team in rushing with 395 yards and added three touchdowns.

In all, Minor has rushed for over 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns in his 59 games with the Dolphins.
