2005 Dolphins schedule

The NFL schedule was unveiled on Wednesday afternoon, and not surprisingly the Dolphins were not given any prime-time games following their 4-12 showing of a year ago. The Dolphins schedule will begin at home against Denver and close with a road game at New England.

The Dolphins' bye week comes early this year, Oct. 2 to be precise. The Dolphins will have played three games at that point.

All but three of the Dolphins' games in 2005 will start at 1 p.m. Eastern time, with the exception being road games against the Jets (4:15 on Sept. 18), Oakland (4:05 on Nov. 27) and San Diego (4:15 on Dec. 11).

Because Christmas falls on Sunday this year, most games that weekend will be played on Saturday and the Dolphins will be playing host to Tennessee on Christmas Eve.

The NFL did schedule its season-ending games on New Year's Day, with the Dolphins traveling to Foxboro for a game against the Patriots.

Here's the Dolphins' 2005 schedule (home games in CAPS):
