Three players waived

Coach Nick Saban said after the arrest of second-year safety Quintin Williams that he would deal with the situation at some point. Well, that point arrived quickly and Saban's way of dealing with Williams was to waive him.

Williams, who was arrested for drag racing and for driving under the influence, was one of three players waived by the Dolphins on Friday.

The other two were two players signed in the offseason as undrafted rookie free agents, wide receiver Luther Huggins and tight end Victor Sesay.

Williams had joined the Dolphins as an undrafted rookie free agent last year and appeared in six games after spending time on the practice squad.

Williams was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly driving 111 mph on Interstate 595.
