McMichael's mess

For the second consecutive offeason, tight end Randy McMichael was arrested following an altercation with his wife. The latest incident occurred over the weekend in Georgia and McMichael was charged with simple battery and criminal trespass.

According to the police report, McMichael and his wife, Cawanna, began arguing inside a Waffle House in Grovetown, Ga.

McMichael allegedly threw a cell phone at his wife as she was leaving the restaurant and later began throwing some of her belongings out of their car.

According to the report, four witnesses said they saw McMichael throw his wife from the car and she ended up with a bloody nose.

McMichael was released from jail Saturday morning after posting a $2,200 bond. He will have to return to Georgia at a later date to face the charges in Columbia County.

McMichael and his wife, who was pregnant at the time, both were arrested last June following a dispute at their house, but there were no witnesses and charges eventually were dropped.

The couple later underwent counseling and had a child.
