Two DBs done

The Dolphins made a couple of roster moves on Wednesday when they returned to practice for the first time following their preseason opener. And both of the moves involving defensive backs, Alphonso Roundtree and Chris Akins.

Roundtree, a second-year cornerback from Tulane, was waived.

Akins, meanwhile, was placed on injured reserve. It marks the second consecutive year that the safety has been placed on injured reserve before the season. Akins was injured in the preseason opener against Chicago.
