Brown deal today?

First-round pick Ronnie Brown is expected to sign with the Dolphins on Monday, according to published reports. The Palm Beach Post and South Florida Sun-Sentinel both reported that Brown flew to Fort Lauderdale Sunday night with his agent, Todd France, and is expected to meet with team officials Monday.

It is believed that Brown will get somewhere around $20 million in guaranteed money.

If Brown indeed signs on Monday, there's a good chance he would be in the lineup Saturday night when the Dolphins face the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field.

Brown likely would start toward the bottom of the depth chart at running back, but shouldn't take long to move up given the uninspiring performances of the other halfbacks so far this summer.

The one exception there is Ricky Williams, but Williams is facing a four-game suspension at the start of the season.
