Gus Frerotte did some throwing on Wednesday but he did not take part in practice, leaving again in question his availability for Saturday's game against Tennessee. Coach Nick Saban has said that Frerotte will start if he's healthy, but that remains a question mark because of Frerotte's injured finger.
Frerotte re-injured the index finger on his throwing hand in Sunday's victory over the Jets as he attempted to tackle Jets cornerback David Barrett after a second-quarter interception.
Also not practicing on Wednesday were running back Ronnie Brown (knee), linebacker Channing Crowder (shoulder) and wide receiver Wes Welker. Saban said all three are day-to-day.
By appearances, Crowder and Welker look like they'll be able to play against Tennessee, while Brown didn't look as promising.
Nose tackle Keith Traylor, who has missed the last three games after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery, practiced on Wednesday and should be able to go against Tennessee.

Dolphins players did their voting for the Pro Bowl on Tuesday.
Coaches also were voting this week and those votes, combined with fan voting, will determine the teams, which will be announced on Wednesday.
In the fan voting, Zach Thomas ended up with the most votes among AFC inside linebackers.
