Linehan tour continues

A couple of days after interviewing for the head-coaching position with the Houston Texans, Scott Linehan was scheduled to meet Friday with the St. Louis Rams, who are looking for a new head coach after firing Mike Martz after the season.

As is the case in Houston, Linehan isn't considered among the leading candidates for the St. Louis. The Rams are believed to be looking for a defensive-minded coach, which is why they'll be taking to Chicago defensive coordinator Ron Rivera.

Also on the coaching front, former Dolphins interim head coach Jim Bates is scheduled to interview next week for the job in Green Bay. Bates served as the Packers' defensive coordinator this past season.

And former Dolphins offensive line coach Tony Wise interviewed earlier this week to join Dennis Green's staff in Arizona.

Safety Yeremiah Bell has been named the Dolphins' winner of the Ed Block Courage Award. The award, named after the longtime Baltimore Colts trainer, is given to someone from each team who displays "commitments to the principles of courage and sportsmanship while serving as inspirations in their locker room."

Bell, along with the winners from the other 31 teams, will be honored at a banquet in Baltimore on March 7.
