The Dolphins swapped linebackers with the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday, with the Dolphins sending former second-round pick Eddie Moore to the Saints in return for another former second-round pick, Courtney Watson.
Watson started six games for the Saints last season before losing his starting job and eventually landing on injured reserve with a knee injury. In all, Watson played in nine games and recorded 37 tackles and one sack.
As a rookie in 2004, Watson won the starting middle linebacker job for opening day and went on to start eight of the 12 games he played. That season, he finished with 57 tackles and two sacks.
Moore, for his part, finished last season on injured reserve because of a knee problem after appearing in five games.
In 2004, Moore played in 13 games with four starts, recording 34 tackles, a fumble recovery and four passes defensed.
