The dinner involved community leaders, and among the attendees was former Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino. It was Marino who invited Taylor to come along.
"It's great to be able to do some things like that, but I've got an obligation here," Taylor said. "As much as the President is good in his own right, Waye (Huizenga) pays my bills."
Saban, who met Bush when he took his LSU team to the White House after sharing the national title in 2003, didn't surprise his players by turning down the invitation.
"He's a football guy," said safety Travares Tillman. "He'll take us over the president any day."
