Daniels Sidelined

Cornerback Travis Daniels figures to miss some practice time as the result of a lower-leg injury sustained during Wednesday night's practice. Daniels was carted off the field after being injured.

Daniels was sporting crutches on Thursday afternoon and had a protective boot around his right foot.

Coach Nick Saban was scheduled to address the media following the Thursday afternoon practice, although he said Wednesday he no longer would be discussing injuries on a daily basis.

So it's possible we might not know more details about Daniels' injury at that time, but it looks like Daniels will be sidelined at least for a short period of time.

Daniels is the only returning start in the Dolphins secondary, after Sam Madison, Tebucky Jones and Lance Schulters all left the team in the offseason.
