Monday Roundup

The Dolphins welcomed back a couple of starters at practice on Monday morning, while a couple of cornerbacks continue to sit out.

Travis Daniels (ankle) and Michael Lehan, who underwent arthroscopic knee surgery last week, again sat out practice Monday morning. The only other player to miss practice was nose tackle Keith Traylor, who sat out ironically on the same day the Dolphins signed veteran Dan Wilkinson to provide depth and/or competition at his position.

Back at practice were defensive end Jason Taylor and wide receiver Marty Booker, both of whom missed Saturday's preseason opener against Jacksonville.

Booker was one of five players wearing a red jersey at practice. The others were WR Kelly Campbell, DT Josh Shaw, T L.J. Shelton and TE Justin Peelle.

To make room on the roster for Wilkinson, the Dolphins released linebacker Trent Bray, a rookie free agent from Oregon State who had been signed shortly after the draft.

Nothing new to report on the Manuel Wright situation. He remains away from the team, which still has a roster exemption for him.

The Dolphins practiced for only one hour on Monday morning -- unlike their usual two-hour sessions -- but spent extra time watching film of the Jacksonville game.
