Six players sat out practice on Tuesday morning with a variety of ailments, but for the most part none of the injuries were of major significance.

The list of injured players included defensive linemen Rob Burnett and Larry Chester, offensive linemen Mark Dixon, Anthony Cesario and Jim Bundren, and cornerback Omare Lowe.

Chester and Dixon, both coming back from broken legs, have been given time off periodically during camp, and both are doing fine.

The most serious of the injuries of the bunch is a knee injury that is expected to keep Bundren out of action for a few weeks.

-- Quarterback Ray Lucas got a surprise in the locker room after practice. His wife had a half-dozen birthday cakes delivered to celebrate Lucas' 30th birthday. Oronde Gadsden sang the lead on a version of "Happy Birthday."

-- Actress Michelle Rodriguez ("Fast and the Furious" and "Blue Crush") was a visitor at training camp.

-- Rookie wide receiver Sam Simmons made a spectacular diving catch on a bomb during a passing drill.
