KICKER GONE

It was just a matter of time before Vitaly Pisetsky was released, and the end of his summer stay with the Dolphins came on Friday.<P>

The release of Pisetsky left the Dolphins with 85 players on their training camp roster. It also left Olindo Mare as the only placekicker in camp.

Given Mare's standing as one of the top kickers in the NFL, Pisetsky had next to no chance of winning a job with the Dolphins.

But the Dolphins brought him to camp anyway to take a look at him and also to give Mare a break once in a while during special teams drills.

-- In other news on Friday, LB Zach Thomas (hamstring), DE Rob Burnett (hamstring), RB Robert Edwarsds (groin) and LB Tommy Hendricks (hamstring) all missed Friday morning's practice.

-- The team is traveling to Orlando this afternoon for two days of practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers prior to Monday night's preseason game at Raymond James Stadium.

The Dolphins and Bucs will practice twice on Saturday and once on Sunday.
