The Dolphins trimmed their roster by two when they waived two players who realistically had no shot to be with the team after the final cuts.<P>

Released were fullback Jerry Westbrooks and cornerback Delvin Brown.

Westbrooks, a converted halfback, had little chance of earning a roster spot at one of the Dolphins' deepest positions. His release leaves three fullbacks on the roster — Rob Konrad, Deon Dyer and Obafemi Ayanbadejo.

As for Brown, the former University of Miami player was one of many young cornerbacks on the roster, but he was a long shot from the start. His release leaves seven cornerbacks on the roster — Patrick Surtain, Sam Madison, Jamar Fletcher, Omare Lowe, Ray Green, Cedric Donaldson and Zebbie Lethridge.

The two moves left the Dolphins with 83 players on their roster. The limit at this time is 80, but players who competed in NFL Europe in the spring don't count against that total.
