Surgery for Culpepper

One day after visiting Dr. James Andrews in Alabama, Daunte Culpepper underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Thursday.

The surgery was performed to remove cartilage in Culpepper's surgically repaired knee.

No additional information was provided in the news released issued by the Dolphins, so there's no reason to think that the surgery immediately will result in Culpepper being placed on injured reserve.

Removed from the lineup since early October, Culpepper has been focusing on his rehab but he had to take some time off after experiencing discomfort in the knee.

The hope is that Thursday's surgery will take care of that issue and Culpepper can resume his workout regimen.
