The Dolphins made 11 roster moves on Sunday to reach the roster limit of 53 players, waiving seven players, terminating the contract of three others and reaching an injury settlement with veteran offensive lineman Leon Searcy.

Under NFL rules, the Dolphins cannot re-sign Searcy until after the 10th game of the season, but he can sign with any other team at any time. Searcy was injured during pregame warmups prior to the preseason finale Thursday night, and there's no clear indication as to exactly when he'll be able to play football again.

Given the fact he has missed the last two seasons because of injuries, and the fact that Searcy contemplated retirement in the offseason before signing with the Dolphins, it's not impossible that this could be the end for the former Pro Bowl offensive tackle.

Waived on Sunday were cornerback Cedric Donaldson, defensive tackle Ernest Grant, running back Leonard Henry, defensive end Rod Kelly, safety Jason Moore, guard Dwayne Pierce and linebacker Joshua Symonette.

Those whose contracts were terminated were fullback Obafemi Ayanbadejo, wide receiver Jeff Ogden and defensive tackle Henry Taylor.
