Even though it wasn't going to happen anyway, you can now definitely forget about the idea of Terrell Buckley coming back to the Dolphins. His signing with New England was just one of the many moves involving former Dolphins players this week.

Truth be told, the Dolphins weren't that interested in Buckley, whose play this summer was utterly unimpressive.

Rookie linebacker Justin Seaverns, who tried to make the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent, survived the final cuts in Indianapolis, but his luck didn't last. He was waived two days later when the Colts picked up fullback Detron Smith.

In Cleveland, the Browns released defensive tackle Damian Gregory and then re-signed him to their practice squad.

You may remember Gregory as a promising Dolphins defensive tackle who basically sealed his fate in Miami when he got involved in a shouting match with DL coach Clarence Brooks and then Coach Dave Wannstedt.

The Dolphins were going to trade Gregory last season, but he was involved in a car accident. Gregory was waived by the Dolphins in late February.

The Browns also released another former Dolphins player, running back Autry Denson.

Another undrafted rookie the Dolphins cut had better luck than Seaverns, that being defensive tackle James Atkins. He made the final cut with the Tennessee Titans.
