Coaching Staff Move

Bobby Williams turned down a chance to join Nick Saban at the University of Alabama in the offseason to stay on as Dolphins running backs coach. But Williams now finds himself without a job after he was released from the Dolphins coaching staff.

"We want to thank Bobby for his time with the Dolphins and wish him nothing but the best in the future," head coach Cam Cameron said in a statement announcing the move. "We will begin the search for his replacement immediately."

No reason was given for Williams' dismissal, but the timing would suggest something happened to precipiate the move.

Williams, a former head coach at Michigan State, had joined the Dolphins in 2005 after being hired by Saban.
