Ginn on the Shelf

The Dolphins will have to wait a little while to see their first-round pick in action. Ted Ginn Jr. acknowledged on Sunday that his injured left foot will be placed in a boot for about a month.

Ginn also said he's a guy who can play with pain and would be in the lineup if the Dolphins were playing a game tomorrow.

Ginn was injured in the celebration after he returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown in the BCS Championship Game against Florida.

Ginn was asked about the specific nature of the injury when he met the media on Sunday, but instead just said he would do whatever the Dolphins wanted him to do.

ESPN reported the injury as a Lis Franc sprain, an injury that sometimes is difficult to recover from.

Ginn won't be in action next weekend when the Dolphins hold their post-draft minicamp. The third and final minicamp will take place June 8-10.
