Scouting Report: DE Abraham Wright

The Dolphins concluded their 2007 draft with the selection of Colorado defensive end Abraham Wright with the 238rd overall pick. Here is TFY Draft Preview's complete pre-draft scouting report on Wright, including bio, analysis and more.

School: Colorado

HT: 6-2 WT: 242

40-Yard Dash: 4.84

Bio: Two-year starter awarded All-Conference honors last year after posting 57/11.5/4. Junior totals included 30 tackles, one interception and five pass defenses.

Positives: Undersized college defensive end with potential as a rush linebacker at the next level. Breaks down well playing with leverage, is fast off the edge and pursues laterally with speed. Imediately alters his angle of attack and shows the ability to drop into coverage. Tenacious and works to get involved in the action.

Negatives: Solely lined up in a three-point stance at Colorado. Controlled by opposing tight ends or easily ridden from his angle of attack.

Analysis: Chasing hard to get involved in the action, Wright is a tough defender who plays with a nasty streak. Improved his overall game last year, and good workouts prior to the draft could push him into the late rounds.
