The Dolphins made some moves on their practice squad, but the status quo remains on the active roster after the Dolphins had a few players in for workouts on Tuesday.

Troy Andrew, released by Houston on Monday, rejoined the Dolphins, who signed him to the practice squad. Linebacker Joshua Symonette also was re-signed to the practice squad.

To make room for them, the Dolphins released wide receiver Margin Hooks and guard Dwayne Pierce.

The Dolphins also released both tight end Alonzo Mayes and cornerback Zebbie Lethridge off injured reserve.

The re-signing of Andrew came as no surprise considering the Dolphins waived Pierce off the practice squad in the first week of the season but brought him back only because Andrew was claimed off waivers by Houston.

The four players who worked out for the Dolphins on Tuesday were cornerbacks William Hampton, Elijah Williams and Paul Miranda and wide receiver/punt returner Craig Yeast.

The Dolphins also reportedly had conversations with the agents of veteran cornerbacks Bryant Westbrook and Tom Knight.

But it doesn't appear either one of those two will be joining anytime soon because Westbrook is looking to be a starter and Knight is recovering for a hamstring injury.
