No Go for Toledo

It's been all about needing to have some patience for Joe Toledo ever since he joined the Dolphins as a fourth-round pick out of Washington in 2006. And the waiting will continue for the former tight end who became an offensive lineman.

The practice time for the Dolphins to activate Toledo from the physically unable to perform list expired this week without a move being made, meaning Toledo will remain on PUP the rest of the season.

That means a second consecutive wasted season for Toledo, who spent all of 2006 on injured reserve because of a knee injury.

This time it was a foot injury, sustained in early 2007, that kept Toledo from playing.

The 6-5, 330-pounder actually showed promise in training camp as a rookie last year before being injured, so there's still hope he could become a quality player, but at some point he's going to have to be able to stay healthy.
