Game Preview: N.Y. Jets at Miami breaks down the Dolphins' Week 13 matchup against the New York Jets at Dolphin Stadium.

KICKOFF: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET

GAME DATE: 12/02/07

TV: CBS, Gus Johnson, Steve Tasker

SERIES: 84th meeting. Jets lead series, 44-38-1. The Jets swept the Dolphins last season and have won six of the last seven meetings, including a 31-28 victory in New Jersey on Sept. 23. In that game, Miami RB Ronnie Brown had 112 yards rushing on 23 carries and 99 yards receiving on six catches. He scored three touchdowns, two rushing and one receiving. Unfortunately for the Dolphins, he's out for the season with a knee injury. Former starting QB Chad Pennington threw two touchdowns and ran for one in that contest.

KEYS TO THE GAME: The Jets want to see QB Kellen Clemens improve on his accuracy, but that could be difficult with his receiving corps beat up. RB Thomas Jones has averaged just 3.4 yards per carry the past three games, and that's unlikely to change much until Clemens starts hurting defenses for overplaying the run. ... The Dolphins are still averaging 4.4 yards per carry, but the ground game has dropped off considerably with Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams out for the season and Jesse Chatman hobbling. Lorenzo Booker, Patrick Cobbs and Samkon Gado could figure into the mix this week as the Dolphins seek to avoid exposing rookie QB John Beck to the Jets' quickly improving pass rush.

KEY INJURIES: Jets: WR Laveranues Coles (sprained ankle) could return this week; WR Jerricho Cotchery (finger) is uncertain. Dolphins: Chatman (ankle) has been limited in practice; MLB Zach Thomas (migraines) is out indefinitely; DT/DE Vonnie Holliday (ankle) is uncertain.

Clemens' passer rating of 56.9 is the lowest in the NFL among quarterbacks with at least 140 pass attempts. ... The Dolphins have started 11 different defensive lineups in 11 games.
