Two New Coaches; More Coming Soon?

The staff of new Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano officially grew by two on Tuesday, and there's also word another coach has agreed to come to Miami. Officially hired on Tuesday were James Saxon as running backs coach and Evan Marcus as head strength and conditioning coach.

In addition, the Kansas City Star is reporting that former UCLA head coach Karl Dorrell has accepted an offer to become the Dolphins' new wide receivers coach.

Finally, multiple reports indicate that former Falcons and Chargers head coach Dan Henning was on the verge of becoming the Dolphins' new offensive coordinator. Henning, incidentally, was an assistant under Don Shula in 1979 and 1980.

Saxon also has spent time in Miami before, playing three seasons as a running back for the Dolphins from 1992-94.

Most recently, he spent the last seven seasons as Chiefs running backs coach.

Less than a week after becoming Dolphins head coach, Sparano already has a quarterback coach (David Lee), running backs coach and offensive line coach (Mike Maser).
