Players, Coached Added

As the Dolphins continue to round out their coaching staff, they're also keeping an eye on players who could help the team down the road. That's why they signed three players for 2008 on Wednesday, including guard Trey Darilek, who spent some time on the Miami roster in 2006.

Also signed for 2008 were QB Matt Baker, who spent time on the Arizona practice squad in 2007 and LB Junior Glymph, who was in training camp with Dallas last summer.

On the coaching front, the Dolphins added five new assistants this week, including a new special teams coordinator.

That would be John Bonamego, a 21-year coaching veteran who spent the last nine years in the NFL, including the last two with the Saints.

Also hired on Tony Sparano's staff were George DeLeone as tight ends coach, David Puloka as assistant strength and conditioning coach, Jim Reid as outside linebackers coach and Steve Bush as offensive quality control coach.

The big vacancy still to be filled, of course, is that of offensive coordinator.
