Eight Players Released

Two days before adding players through the draft, the Dolphins eliminated eight names from their roster. The biggest name among the group was safety Cameron Worrell, who was waived after failing a physical.

Worrell sustained a torn ACL in the Dec. 2 loss against the Jets and underwent surgery 16 days later. Worrell started seven games at safety for the Dolphins last season, even though he had been signed as a free agent in the offseason primarily to help the special teams.

Along with Worrell, the players released on Thursday were QB Casey Bramlet, LB Marcello Church, S Tuff Harris, CB Jereme Perry, WR Kerry Reed, LB Mark Washington and WR Chandler Williams.
