Additions to Roster, Front Office

The Dolphins made four additions to their scouting staff on Tuesday, one day after signing wide receiver John Dunlap after he attended the last two days of minicamp on a tryout basis. One of the new front office is long-time NFL executive Dick Haley.

Haley, who has been in the NFL for 42 seasons, will join the Dolphins as a player personnel analyst.

Also joining the scouting staff are Chris Shea as personnel coordinator, Mike Murphy as a regional scout and Joe Schoen as a national scout.

Haley's most recent job was with the New York Jets, where he spent some time working with Bill Parcells. Before joining the Jets in 1992, Haley had spent 21 seasons as director of player personnel with Pittsburgh and his 1974 draft with the Steelers is widely considered one of the greatest in the league history.

Player moves: Dunlap, a 6-1, 218-pound rookie from North Carolina State, was signed three days after the Dolphins waived kicker Dave Rayner. With Rayner, that leaves veteran Jay Feely and rookie Dan Carpenter as the two kickers on the roster.

Before signing with the Dolphins this offseason, Rayner had played for the Colts, Packers, Chiefs and Chargers.
