The Dolphins made their final roster cuts, but we knew all along the possibility of adding players claimed off waivers was significant. That's exactly what happened on Sunday when the Dolphins picked up a little additional depth for the offensive line.
The Dolphins have claimed center/guard Andy Alleman off waivers from the New Orleans Saints, according to Scout.com's Adam Caplan.
A third-round pick from Akron in 2007, Alleman didn't play a game as a rookie. He will provide depth to a group of offensive linemen that includes Trey Darilek, Ikechuku Ndukwe and rookie Shawn Murphy.
The Dolphins will have to let go a player to make room for Alleman, and the Palm Beach Post is reporting that rookie receiver Anthony Armstrong has been waived.
