The Dolphins have stocked up on interior offensive linemen in free agency with the signings of Jake Grove from the Raiders and Joe Berger from the Cowboys. But, as Coach Tony Sparano pointed out in his latest column in Dolphin Digest, the process of building the offensive line is a neverending process. That's why the Dolphins are bringing in an offensive lineman draft prospect on Wednesday.
Coming to Miami on Wednesday will be Texas Tech guard Louis Vasquez.
A third-team AP All-America selection in 2008, Vasquez has the kind of size (6-5, 330) the Dolphins regime likes in its offensive lineman.
He shined at the combine with 39 reps in the bench press, the highest total among offensive linemen.
Vasquez initially was believed to be a mid-round pick, but his stock is on the rise.
