Report: Dolphins Trade for DT

The Dolphins apparently beefed up their defensive line on Thursday. According to ESPN.com, they acquired defensive lineman Tony McDaniel from the Jacksonville Jaguars for one of their three seventh-round picks in the 2009 draft.

McDaniel has great size at 6-7, 310 and he's only 24 years old. He played defensive tackle for the Jaguars, but his dimensions would seem to make him more suited for defensive end in a 3-4 as opposed to nose tackle.

Injuries have been a problem for McDaniel so far in his three-year NFL career. He has never played more than 11 games in a season, that coming in his rookie season in 2006. Last season, he appeared in 10 games and was credited with 16 tackles, half a sack and two passes defensed.
