Roth Doesn't Reveal Much

Matt Roth addressed the media Wednesday for the first time since the start of training camp, but the outside linebacker didn't provide any answers as to exactly why it is that he failed the team's conditioning test and hasn't been practicing.

In a very brief interview session, Roth answered every question dealing with the nature of his injury with the same reply: "I'm not allowed to talk about anything medical."

He also refused to address Tony Sparano's revelation that Roth had signed a statement before the conditioning test asserting he was not ill and not injured.

What little Roth did say was that he was anxious to get back to practicing.

"I feel fine," he said. "I'm trying to work hard to get back on the field.

"It hurts (not to be out there). You always want to beat there with your teammates."

Sparano said before Wednesday's practice that tests on Roth's groin didn't reveal anything of significance.

Roth did some work with the team's strength and conditioning coaches during the Wednesday practice and also watched from the sideline.
