Fifth draft pick signs

The Dolphins have moved closer to getting all their draft picks signed in time for the start of training camp, with fifth-round choice Reshad Jones coming to terms on a four-year deal. The team is now more than halfway done with the draft pick signings, with five of eight in the fold.

Like A.J. Edds, Nolan Carroll, Chris McCoy and Austin Spitler before him, Jones signed a four-year contract that calls for base salaries of $320,000, $405,000, $490,000 and $575,000. The difference in the deals for the players involves signing bonuses.

With Jones signing, the three draft picks who still need to be signed as the first three selections — defensive end Jared Odrick, linebacker Koa Misi and guard John Jerry.
