Q: for Fox Sports, I'm Annabel Stephan, out here at Spaulding Field, alongside UCLA offensive lineman Jeff Baca.

Jeff, you guys have had an incredible season. You exceeded the expectations of a lot of people. How does that make you feel?

JB: it's great. To be a senior. To go out with the senior class and to just be blessed enough to have a coaching staff that Mora has put together. And how we have performed this year, it's truly a blessing.

Q: in terms of the team mentality, how have you seen a difference this season from previous years?

JB: just the intensity and the way we prepare. I'm just excited to get ready for Baylor and go get our tenth win.

Q: 4 years as a starter for this football team. What does it mean for you to be a Bruin?

JB: Oh, everything. This is a childhood dream. A dream come true for me really. I've been a fan ever since I was a little kid. Really, truly blessed to go out like this. And to be in position to get our tenth win. It's really exciting.

Q: in all the years that you have been playing ball here, does anything come to your mind as maybe the highlight?

JB: my senior year.

Q: anything in particular?

JB: the wins, to be honest. That's what I came here to do: to change this program around and get some wins here. With Coach Mora and his staff and our senior staff, I think we've done a great job.

Q: there were a couple of great wins. There was the big one against Nebraska. Obviously versus USC. In your opinion, what was the greatest one?

JB: the ‘SC.

Q: what did it feel like to know that maybe this year that UCLA dominates LA?

JB: feels great. Like I said, I grew up a fan. So I've seen all the [USC] success and been happy for them but at the same time, I'm a Bruin at heart. And I liked to see that win.

Q: so from a lot of guys that I've talked to, they mentioned that you're quite the jokester. What are you like off the field?

JB: kind of like how I am right now. Just laughing. Happy guy. I like to have a good time, but when it's business, it's business.

Q: so talking business, the Holiday Bowl is just coming up around the corner, what are you most looking forward to that game?

JB: just the opportunity to go out against a good Baylor team and like I said, try to get our tenth win. That's really our main goal right now. And just to spend time with these guys for my senior year. I'm glad we got to make it to a bowl game and have had success for my senior year.

Q: congratulations on all of your success. We look forward to seeing you hit the field soon.

Keep it here at Fox Sports, for all of the latest on your UCLA Bruins, alongside Jeff, I'm Annabel. Fox Sports.
